(1) The residual stress on the surface of the rolls after grinding cannot be completely eliminated, so it is necessary to determine the hardness value before and after grinding of each pair of rolls to do long-term tracking and master the performance status of the rolls. This is conducive to the timely revision of a reasonable grinding process. In addition, the normal rolling rolls unloaded from the mill, the main operator of the mill should be in the roll change single fill in the rolling time, rolling tonnage, the reason for changing the rolls, etc., the mill can make appropriate adjustments to the amount of grinding through the use of the situation. In order to make the natural elimination of stress, the roll must be naturally cooled to 25 ℃ ~ 30 ℃ before regrinding. The complete process data should be recorded for each regrinding of the roll.

(2) Grinding taper chamfers on both ends of the work rolls can effectively reduce stress concentration. The design of rounded composite chamfer on both ends of the support roll can effectively reduce the stress concentration on the side of the support roll itself, and at the same time, it can also alleviate the concentrated load impact on the work roll from the side of the support roll.
(3) The roll cannot be used in the case of surface fatigue cracks. When rolling a certain amount of aluminum strip, due to surface fatigue hardening may appear slight cracks, such as not timely detection and repair, will lead to the surface fatigue of the rolls broken to the collapse of the peeling. This requires the main operator of the mill to check in time, according to the regulations for the replacement of rolls. Experienced production managers can do in the fatigue layer has not yet produced fine cracks in time to change the roll regrinding.
(4) Reasonable choice of rolling force under pressure and other process parameters, to prevent unnecessary heavy load impact on the roll surface. New rolls into the mill to start loading, the rolling force should be used step by step to increase to the target parameters, so as to avoid excessive changes in the roll force.
(5) Ensure that the rolling oil spray system does not appear abnormal, rolling process between the rolls and aluminum strip produces a large amount of frictional heat, the spray system must have enough cooling lubrication capacity, otherwise it will produce excessive thermal shock to the rolls. In addition, the process allows the addition of extreme pressure additives in the rolling oil to improve the viscosity of the oil. Good lubrication can reduce roll wear, relieve thermal fatigue, reduce rolling force, improve the stress state when rolling, but also play a stabilizing effect on the roll system.
(6) After new grinding into the mill rolls, should first be preheated with the maximum amount of spray, so that the rolls and oil temperature is basically the same. Start rolling, the rolling speed should be slowly increased to fully preheat the rolls. This can be avoided due to a short period of time too large thermal shock and the roll body to produce excessive thermal stress.
(7) When the rolls are used, try to ensure that all the rolls have a moderate and balanced workload, alternating between old and new rolls. Try to let the rolls have a long time of natural aging.
(8) In winter, the rolls should be replaced according to the ambient temperature of the plant to carry out the necessary heat preservation, if the ambient temperature is too low, it is necessary to insulate the rolls to make them cool down uniformly and slowly, so as to prevent the stress changes caused by the large temperature difference.
